For a moment, it seemed like she was ready to rattle off more names, but she decided to wrap it up with a breathless, “I don’t even know.” Just like most of her fellow nominees, Spiro spent years making music and sharing it on TikTok before popping off recently. Spiro’s jazzy sound — inspired by greats like Frank Sinatra, Nina Simon, and Etta James — continues to set the British singer apart. Hosted by Snoop Dogg, the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards aired live on CBS and MTV, and livestreamed on Paramount+ (Premium) on Sunday from Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
