Syrian lawyer takes on ex-Assad official in landmark trial
Syrian lawyer Nouha al-Masri is seeking justice for her brother, who died in the 2011 Daraa crackdown that sparked Syria’s uprising. She’s a prosecutor in the trial of ex-Assad official Atef Najib, who’s accused of murder, torture and responsibility for massacres. Al Jazeera’s Hannah Raslan reports from Damascus.
