TCU will play without one of their biggest offensive weapons in the season opener against North Carolina on Saturday in Dublin, Ireland. Fifth-year wide receiver Jordan Dwyer will miss the game with a foot injury, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. Dwyer made the trip to Ireland with the team but was ultimately ruled out just hours before kickoff.

Dwyer transferred from Idaho to TCU last season as a senior. He is now the Horned Frogs' leading returning receiver after he caught 54 passes for 730 yards and seven touchdowns last season. His absence is a big disadvantage for TCU's offense.

Meanwhile, North Carolina is also managing a major absence in the season opener. Tar Heels defensive coordinator Steve Belichick has been on indefinite medical leave since Aug. 6 and will miss the season opener. His father, and UNC head coach, Bill Belichick will reportedly call defensive plays for the Tar Heels on Saturday.

TCU and North Carolina will kick off at 12 pm ET at Aviva Stadium.
