The Pokémon Company Is Counting Down to a Surprise Reveal This Month

Using its 30th anniversary logos, The Pokémon Company is seemingly counting down to something that it will reveal at the end of the month.

The Pokémon Company has been celebrating the franchise's 30th anniversary throughout 2026. Part of that celebration included making Poké Ball-themed logos for every single Pokémon — over 1,000 in total. Now, The Pokémon Company is using those logos to seemingly tease a surprise reveal at the end of the month.

The Pokémon Company's Japanese X account posted two logos in October with the numbers 1,025 and 843. That's a difference of 182, and, as pointed out by Serebii webmaster Joe Merrick, exactly 182 hours passed between the tweets. If they represented a countdown, both numbers seemed to signal that The Pokémon Company is counting down to (9:00 a.m.

Early on Monday, The Pokémon Company shared a third logo, furthering the idea that the numbers are counting down to Nov. 30. The latest number is 676, and it was exactly 676 hours to on Nov. 30 at the time of the post. There's new Japanese text underneath the logo.

According to Merrick, it roughly means "Continue with Pokémon." What that means specifically, however, is anyone's guess. We know the next mainline entries, Pokémon Winds and Waves, are due out next year, but they don't have a release date yet. As the majority of Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 Pokémon releases have come out in the fall (with Pokémon Legends: Arceus being the exception), it's possible Pokémon Winds and Waves will arrive fall 2027, especially as how the Switch 2's early 2027 lineup is already taking shape.

It feels too early for a second trailer, but The Pokémon Company could always reveal a brand-new Winds and Waves Pokémon or announce the games' release date. Of course, the announcement might not deal with any specific game; this is a multimedia franchise, after all. For all we know, the countdown could just be leading down to a fun bit of marketing, like Super Bowl "What's your favorite Pokémon?" ad from earlier in the year.

We'll have to wait until Nov. 30 to find out. In the meantime, you can peruse new Pokémon merchandise released to celebrate the anniversary, like a mini Pokémon jukebox, a giant Snorlax rug, luggage with windows for your Pokémon plushies, Lego sets, Pokémon Polaroid cameras, Pokémon shoes, and more.
