Envestnet released its third technology update of 2026, introducing an interactive dashboard, self-service configuration tools for Unified Managed Portfolios, and AI-powered widgets designed to reduce administrative work for advisors. The updates include a redesigned interface with customizable widgets, a new side-panel navigation system, and an AI assistant that allows advisors to query dashboard data in plain language, according to the company. "Wealth management platforms were built for displaying data, not delivering intelligence," Envestnet CEO Chris Todd said in a statement.

"The Envestnet user interface now has the building blocks an AI-first experience requires: componentized widgets, configurable layouts, a task-aware notification system and a conversational process." The interactive dashboard will be available for early opt-in by larger clients beginning in mid-September. The UMP configuration portal is now live for admin template creation, with sponsor self-service capabilities planned for the fourth release later this year. There are also new key performance indicator widgets to help firms track customer opportunities, net flows, proposal pipeline, total accounts, and total assets.

And the new AI assistant opens from any Insights dashboard and helps advisors identify performance changes, explore growth opportunities, and support client conversations with summaries, according to the company. Envestnet also announced enhancements to Tamarac, including portfolio reporting and CRM improvements. Report Studio capabilities have been expanded, and streamlined client portal features, along with tighter connectivity between Tamarac Trading and Tamarac CRM, have been added.

An AI-assisted migration tool has been created to help firms convert legacy reports into Report Studio templates, while a new AI Data Analyst Agent lets users query account data using natural language. In addition, planning data from MoneyGuide now appears directly in Tamarac through a new dashboard and summary tab, eliminating the need for advisors to switch between systems. The client portal now supports MoneyGuide Wealth Studios as a data source for net worth pages and includes grouping options for the Comparative Review Report by account type, custodian, objective, tax status, or custom fields.

And Tamarac CRM now syncs cash and security reserves directly from Tamarac Trading and displays the full range of Schwab beneficiary designations. Finally, Envestnet released enhancements to Envestnet | MoneyGuide designed to help financial advisors address complex financial planning needs, including support for deferred income annuities, fixed-indexed annuities, registered index-linked annuities and structured investments. The updates allow advisors to incorporate participation rates, maximum and minimum returns, and income rider details into planning calculations, the company said.

Also, the Investment Assets section has been updated with streamlined account entry and enhanced summary accounts, meant to create a cleaner workflow when manual account entry is required. And within the Long-Term Care Analysis section of the platform, a searchable database by ZIP code or city for cost-of-care assumptions has been added. MoneyGuide plan data now reaches advisors and clients inside the Tamarac platform through a new dashboard and summary tab on the client record.
