The shoulder pads are back, the champagne is flowing, and the drama in Rutshire is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. If you've been counting down the days until Rivals returns, you're certainly not alone. Disney+'s gloriously scandalous adaptation of Jilly Cooper's best-selling novel has given us everything we could possibly want from a period drama: outrageous affairs, ruthless power plays, spectacular ‘80s fashion, and a cast of characters who are almost incapable of behaving themselves.
But rather than dropping every episode at once, Disney+ has split season 2 into two parts, leaving viewers with a wait between installments. So, when exactly does Rivals season 2, part 2 arrive, and how many episodes are left? Here's everything you need to know.
Rivals season 2 part 2 will premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, with three brand-new episodes landing at once. That's right, we'll be getting a triple helping of Rutshire scandal before the series switches to weekly releases for its final three episodes. The second season consists of 12 episodes in total, with the first six having aired earlier this year.
And following THAT devastating mid-season cliffhanger, there's plenty of unfinished business to get through. Disney+ will release the remaining six episodes across four Wednesdays, with the season finale arriving in December. Here's when you can expect each episode: So, you'll have three episodes to binge on November 11, followed by one new episode every Wednesday until the finale. *Warning: Spoilers for season 2, part 1 ahead!
When we last visited Rutshire, things had taken a devastating turn. Lady Monica Baddingham (Claire Rushbrook) was killed in a car accident after discovering that her husband Tony (David Tennant) had been having an affair with Maud O'Hara (Victoria Smurfit). And with Tony now grieving, the battle between Corinium Television and rival company Venturer looks set to become even more ruthless.
Meanwhile, Rupert Campbell-Black (Alex Hassell) is facing some difficult decisions of his own, particularly when it comes to his relationship with Taggie O'Hara (Bella Maclean). According to Disney+, the second half of the season will see affairs unravel, alliances fracture, and long-buried secrets threaten to come to light. Expect plenty more ’80s excess, from lavish parties and the Hampshire Hunt Ball to Bonfire Night celebrations, and a particularly chaotic Christmas.
