A24 has released a new trailer for “You Can See Everything,” the mysterious and highly anticipated documentary that’s heating up awards season. Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim’s top-secret doc is 174 minutes and follows Theranos founder and fraudster Elizabeth Holmes in her final days of freedom and first few weeks of imprisonment. The official logline reads: “Thirty-four days before she’s sent to prison, notorious Silicon Valley founder Elizabeth Holmes invites a skeptical film crew to document her every move.
What begins as an intimate portrait of an enigmatic felon becomes a mind-bending three-year journey into the abyss.” The highly anticipated documentary premiered to a full crowd at the Telluride Film Festival, followed by the reveal of a short teaser and an Oct. 16 release date announcement. Leaving much to be discovered, the minute-long teaser showed Fielder and Holmes staring intensely into each other’s eyes as Holmes promises she’s being genuine. I’m engaging with you as a human being.
There’s no reason for me to do that.” Variety’s film critic Owen Gleiberman saw the film at the festival and described it as “a one-of-a-kind reality-TV-as-hangout-movie psychodrama circus.
