US President Donald Trump berated a Reuters reporter who questioned whether he had cancelled a planned Kansas rally because he was tired of campaigning ahead of the midterm elections.
US President Donald Trump lashed out at a reporter on Thursday after being asked whether he cancelled a planned campaign rally in Kansas because he was tired of travelling ahead of the midterm elections. Trump rejected the suggestion, saying he felt “perfect” after holding what he described as 28 rallies. He explained that he would instead address supporters in Kansas remotely and travel to Florida the following day.
The exchange turned hostile as Trump called the reporter “sick” and “disgusting”, criticised and told him to get in shape, adding: “You look like hell.” Trump made the remarks after arriving at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
