AJ Brown has a complicated relationship with Philadelphia Eagles fans following his departure earlier this offseason. Brown publicly expressed his frustration with the Eagles on multiple occasions throughout the 2025 season. Ultimately, it resulted in a blockbuster trade that sent him to the New England Patriots.
Brown took the field in a Patriots uniform for a joint practice with the Eagles on Wednesday. After practice, the veteran wide receiver was asked if he wanted to deliver a message to Philadelphia fans. "What is my message to the Eagles fans?
"I'm not looking in the past," he added. That's the last question I'm going to answer about the past." Brown spent four seasons with the Eagles, helping the team win a Super Bowl LIX title in 2024-25. Last year, he reeled in 78 catches for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns through 15 games.
Brown is now the clear No. 1 option for quarterback Drake Maye, who led the Patriots to a Super Bowl appearance this past season. The Patriots and Eagles will face off against each other in a preseason matchup on Saturday. They will not meet during the 2026 regular season.
