The Atlanta Dream have sold out every game the past three seasons, and now they'll play in front of bigger crowds.

The Atlanta Dream will compete in a new home during the 2027 season. The WNBA team will move from Gateway Center Arena to State Farm Arena, which is home to the Atlanta Hawks. The seating capacity of State Farm Arena will be at 17,044 fans, a huge increase from Gateway Center Arena's capacity at 3,500 for basketball games.

The Dream made the decision to move arenas due to the sharp increased interest in ticket sales over the past five years. In the team's press release, the Dream noted that season ticket sales have increased 400%, and tickets have been purchased from all 50 states. The Dream sold out every single game at Gateway Center Arena for the past three seasons.

The team also played at State Farm Arena eight times the past three seasons and sold out each of those games. It's clear the interest is there in having the Dream play in a bigger arena. State Farm Arena gives us the opportunity to welcome thousands of additional fans while creating an even bigger stage for women’s basketball in Atlanta.

We look forward to bringing the energy, traditions and spirit of Gateway with us to the heart of our city.” The Dream will play all of its 25 home games at State Farm Arena next season. Atlanta could be bringing home the franchise's first WNBA title next year, too, as the team is currently playing in the semifinals against the New York Liberty. The Dream has played in three WNBA Finals in its history, but has never won the championship.
