The Cincinnati Bengals are undefeated heading into Week 3 and look every bit like the Super Bowl contender everybody hyped them up to be all offseason. After narrowly edging out a win against the Buccaneers in the season opener, they won on the road in Houston on Sunday, defeating the Texans 20-6. The offense again looks elite with Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Chase Brown, and for the first time in Joe Burrow's career, he has a legitimate defense to back him up.
But the Bengals were dealt some unfortunate news Wednesday, as ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that wide receiver Andrei Iosivas is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a thumb injury that will require surgery. Fowler added that Iosivas will likely be placed on injured reserve while he recovers. Across his first three seasons in Cincinnati, he posted 1,030 yards and 12 touchdowns on 84 catches, including back-to-back seasons with 400-plus receiving yards in 2024 and 2025. He hasn't made much of an impact this season, hauling in just three catches for 19 yards through the first two games, but he still serves a valuable role in one of the NFL's most high-powered offenses. There are still several notable veteran free agents on the market, including Tyreek Hill and DeAndre Hopkins, among others, who could slot in perfectly and provide Burrow with a reliable underneath option to complement his two elite outside threats.
