Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen continues to etch his name into the NFL record books.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has already established himself as one of the best players in the NFL, but now he's starting to put his name amongst some of the greatest players the league has ever seen. According to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk, Allen is just 40 rushing yards away from becoming just the fifth quarterback in NFL history to rush for 5,000 yards in his NFL career. The only four players to reach the milestone before Allen are Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson with 6,666 career rushing yards, Michael Vick with 6,109, Cam Newton with 5,628 and Russell Wilson with 5,568.

Allen is already the NFL's all-time leader in rushing touchdowns for a quarterback with 87, and he likely won’t catch Jackson on the career rushing yardage list. But he has a great chance to finish his career with the most career rushing touchdowns and second-most career rushing yards of any quarterback in NFL history. That would be quite the accomplishment for a quarterback who has already proved he is an exceptionally talented passer of the football as well.

Of course, the only thing that is likely on Allen's mind is finally getting the monkey off his back and hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy, but that shouldn't take away from potentially hitting yet another impressive feat in Week 6. The Bills are scheduled to take on the Las Vegas Raiders, who are allowing the fifth-most rushing yards per game in the league (140.6).
