Bo Nix is set to return to the field for the Denver Broncos' preseason matchup against the Green Bay Packers on Friday, as confirmed by head coach Sean Payton. When Nix steps onto the field at Mile High Stadium, it will be his first in-game action since suffering a right ankle fracture in an overtime win over the Buffalo Bills in last year's divisional round. Nix is "super excited" to get some valuable reps in before the start of the 2026 regular season.
"I'm super excited," Nix said, via the team's official website. "It's always a blast to play at home. It's great to get in front of our fans.
It'll be fun to get out there for the first time this year, put the pads on and go out there and play a game. For me, all the games feel the same, and so it'll be good to get some work in." Nix plans to attack his preseason reps with full intensity. "You try to treat it as a real one and treat it like you're going to go play the whole entire game and then play with maximum intensity until they pull you," he added.
Friday's preseason matchup against the Packers will kickoff at 9 p.m.
