Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark recently wrapped up her FIFA Women's Basketball World Cup debut by helping Team USA defeat France, 97-79, to win gold. During the global tournament, Clark averaged 7.8 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game off the bench, per FIBA stats. With that huge event wrapped up, Clark celebrated Team USA's gold medal win at FIBA by generously gifting her Fever teammates her soon-to-be-released signature shoe, the Nike Caitlin 1, aka the CC1.
A video clip surfaced on the Fever's social media on Wednesday, featuring Fever players in the locker room checking out and enjoying their new shoes. "CC winning gold medals and she come back and get the whole team a pair of shoes. ... Going global in these shoes," the Fever's Makayla Timpson said in the video while holding up one blue CC1 shoe to her ear like a phone.

Like other Caitlin Clark-related merchandise, these shoes selling out would be unsurprising. That was the case for Clark's No. 12 Team USA jerseys, which previously caused the Nike website to crash due to a surge in demand after Clark's debut game.
With the World Cup concluded, Clark and her teammates can now focus on the last four games of their regular-season slate, as the postseason looms. They're currently tied with Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream at 26-14 in the WNBA standings and could potentially move up ahead of the 27-13 Las Vegas Aces, who are third overall. Due to her team's success and her on-court contributions, Clark is among the players discussed as contenders for this season's WNBA Most Valuable Player Award.
Clark, a former Iowa Hawkeyes standout, is averaging 22.5 points, 8.4 assists, and 3.9 rebounds for the Indiana Fever. She often posts double-double performances with her scoring and assists and is quickly recording career milestones and setting new league records during her third season in the WNBA. Along with Clark, teammate Kelsey Mitchell creates a spectacular backcourt for the Fever.
