The Los Angeles Chargers' nightmare start to the season continued in Week 4, as they lost to the Seattle Seahawks by a 30-23 final score. With this loss, the Chargers now have an ugly 0-4 record on the season. Yet, to make matters worse, Chargers left tackle Rashawn Slater also suffered an injury during the game.
Now, an update has been provided on Slater, and it is certainly a concerning one. According to ESPN's Ian Rapoport, Slater is believed to have suffered a high-ankle sprain. If this ends up being Slater's official diagnosis, he will be forced to miss multiple weeks, as also reported by Rapoport.
With the Chargers having such a bad start to the season, it is brutal to hear that Slater could be forced to miss a decent amount of time. He is a very important part of their roster, and he will not be an easy player for Los Angeles to replace if he ends up being out long-term. It will now be interesting to see if Slater ends up officially being diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain.
It would be awful news for the Chargers if so, as the two-time Pro Bowler is a big part of their roster. Furthermore, him missing time would not make the Chargers' chances of turning their season around any better.
