AI Knowledge ARR grew about 26% year over year and accounted for roughly two-thirds of eGain's SaaS ARR through the third quarter of fiscal 2026, reflecting increasing enterprise demand for governed knowledge systems that support AI automation. eGain is positioning its platform as an enterprise-wide AI Knowledge Ops system, emphasizing governance, compliance, traceability and reliable content for regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, healthcare and telecommunications. The company reported approximately $92 million in last-12-month revenue, 80% SaaS gross margin, 17% adjusted EBITDA margin and $80 million in cash with no debt. Management plans to prioritize increased go-to-market spending while continuing product development and evaluating acquisitions. 3 Small-Cap Stocks Trading Under $10 With Room to Run eGain (NASDAQ:EGAN) said its AI Knowledge business represented roughly two-thirds of its SaaS annual recurring revenue through the third quarter of fiscal 2026, with AI Knowledge ARR growing about 26% year over year, as the company targets enterprise demand for governed knowledge systems supporting AI automation.

Speaking at Oppenheimer's 29th Annual Technology Conference, Chief Executive Officer Ashu Roy said businesses are increasingly finding that AI initiatives require reliable, governed and verified knowledge content to produce scalable results. He characterized customer service and customer operations as the company's primary near-term market opportunity. → AST SpaceMobile Earnings Just Reminded Investors How Risky Space Can Be "Knowledge has become the instruction for AI systems now," Roy said. "If you have trusted, governed, verified know-how and content that is feeding AI tools, then the outcome of those AI capabilities is reliable and scalable." Roy said companies often struggle to achieve scalable returns from AI investments because their policies, procedures, compliance requirements and other knowledge inputs are not adequately managed. eGain markets what it calls an AI Knowledge Ops approach, involving the ongoing sourcing, curation, publication, measurement and improvement of enterprise knowledge. → Nebius' Q2 Beat Shows the AI Bottleneck Is Capacity, Not Demand He said Gartner has adopted the AI Knowledge Ops terminology in its inaugural Magic Quadrant for customer service knowledge management systems, released in July.

Roy said eGain's platform provides enterprises with a governed system of record, traceability, compliance controls, security and integration capabilities. The company serves large enterprises, particularly in compliance-intensive industries including financial services, insurance, healthcare and telecommunications. Roy cited JPMorgan Chase and Liberty Mutual among eGain's customers. → On Holding's Price Stumble May Be an Opening for a Company Built to Run According to Roy, eGain has deployed its platform to 125,000 users at JPMorgan Chase in the U.S., primarily within its consumer and community banking operations across six lines of business.

He said the deployment was completed in six months, compared with an initial expectation of about one year. Roy also highlighted customer results that he attributed to eGain's tools, including more than $7 million in benefits at a large telecommunications customer serving more than 12,000 customer-service advisors. He said Specialized Bicycle Components reduced customer-service abandonment rates by nearly 50%, while Country Financial reported a 20% to 30% productivity improvement for agents and field-service personnel.

During a question-and-answer session, Roy said eGain competes with knowledge-management offerings bundled into contact-center-as-a-service and customer relationship management platforms. He said eGain's differentiation is its broader AI enablement, granular governance and compliance controls, and enterprise-wide positioning. "Most businesses are looking to now drive automation with agentic capabilities on top of the knowledge system," Roy said.

"Our knowledge platform provides a level of granular control and compliance capabilities, which are quite critical for these big enterprises." He added that while enterprises can develop agentic AI layers for specific workflows, managing and governing the information supplied to those layers remains the more difficult challenge. eGain is expanding its go-to-market outreach beyond traditional customer-service buyers to include chief information officers, chief technology officers and heads of AI. The company also plans to pursue broader deployments within its existing customer base and cited upcoming product releases and customer events as components of its growth strategy. Chief Financial Officer Eric Smit said the company had not yet released results for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, and that the financial information presented was through the quarter ended March 31, 2026.
