The Texas Longhorns stunned the college football world this weekend by staging an incredible comeback in the second half against the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes. All of those elder Mannings have likely given valuable advice and feedback as the Texas Longhorns star looks to follow in their famous footsteps. He's already considered among the top prospects in NFL mock drafts for next year. Of note, Arch Manning could achieve a major award that the aforementioned Mannings never did in their college careers by winning the Heisman Trophy.
The closest any Manning came to doing so was Peyton Manning, who finished as runner-up to standout Michigan safety and cornerback Charles Woodson for the 1997 Heisman Trophy. As of this writing, Arch Manning trails only two contenders in the Heisman Trophy odds: Miami Hurricanes quarterback Darian Mensah and Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith, who remains a strong contender despite the Buckeyes' loss.
