New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers logged full practice participation in each of the team's three sessions leading up to Sunday's Week 1 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. However, Nabers' status is still up in the air as the Giants approach this season-opening, primetime clash. Nabers suffered a season-ending ACL tear during Week 4 of the 2025 season.
The rising third-year wide receiver recently said he feels like he's at a good spot in his recovery process, but also expressed caution about rushing back into action. On Friday, the Giants officially listed Nabers as questionable to play on Sunday night. When speaking to reporters on Thursday, Nabers said the Giants are leaving the ultimate decision up to him.
"I grinded my [expletive] off, excuse my language. I grinded, prayed hard, put in a consistent amount of work," Nabers said. "To be able to make the decision to play or not play." "I've been wanting to play for so long now," he continued.
"At the end of the day, I can't put my career at risk. I got to take that into account. There's a lot of football that I still have left to play." The Giants will kick off against the Cowboys at 8:20 p.m.
