There's less than 24 hours to go before NFL teams have to finalize their rosters for the 2026 season, and the New York Giants have a major decision to make with Odell Beckham Jr. After fourth-year wide receiver Calvin Austin III tore his ACL and landed on season-ending IR, the door opened for Beckham to claim one of the 53 roster spots — something that looked unlikely given the Giants' depth at receiver. In addition to a now-healthy Malik Nabers, the team also has veterans Darius Slayton and Darnell Mooney, along with third-round rookie Malachi Fields and other young depth pieces.
But head coach John Harbaugh made his feelings on Beckham's chances clear after the Giants' 23-6 win over the Jets in Friday night's preseason finale. "Yes, he has done enough to make an NFL roster, for sure," Harbaugh said. He's gotten better as camp's gone along.

After recording four catches on seven targets for just 23 yards in the first two preseason games, he broke out Friday against the Jets, finishing with three catches for 53 yards, including a 23-yard grab from Jameis Winston that set up a touchdown. He also led all pass-catchers on either team with six targets, one of which would have gone for a 70-plus-yard touchdown had Winston connected. "It would mean everything to me if I made it," Beckham said of making the final roster.
