The Jacksonville Jaguars have a problem on Trevor Lawrence’s blind side. Left tackle Anton Harrison is headed for knee surgery. It could be weeks or months.
Either way, Jacksonville’s offensive line just lost its most important piece at a critical point in the season. Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler report that Harrison will have arthroscopic knee surgery once the team returns from London. The surgeon will set the recovery timeline during the procedure.
Until then, nobody knows. Harrison suffered an apparent knee injury in the second half against the Eagles and was ruled out. Jacksonville was 3-1 heading into that game.
This hurts because Harrison is a core piece. He was the 27th overall pick in 2023 and has started 48 games at right tackle. This summer, he slid over to left tackle.
Coach Liam Coen praised his consistency there. Knee trouble isn’t new for him. Knee and ankle issues cost him games last season.
Jacksonville cannot rush this. Lawrence is the franchise. His blind side must be solid.
