The Ravens quarterback has missed the last three contests as he dealt with a left high-ankle sprain.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson missed the last three games as he dealt with a left high-ankle sprain that he suffered during Week 4's matchup versus the Tennessee Titans. Each week, it's been a question about whether the quarterback will be healthy enough to return to the field. This week, all signs were pointing towards him making that long-awaited return as he was a full participant in practice from Wednesday to Friday.

On Friday, Ravens coach Jesse Minter said the words all Baltimore fans have been waiting to hear: Jackson will start on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. "Excited for that opportunity for him to be back out," Minter said. "Credit to him and the work that he put in dealing with an injury.

Put himself in a position to be back, so that's obviously exciting for our team." Jackson spoke with reporters on Friday saying that he still has pain in his ankle, but that it's "bearable." He wasn't limping as he walked over to the media, which is something he was noticeably doing in weeks prior. "I can’t think about my movements in the pocket or anything. I’m out there trying to win.” This is a huge matchup for Jackson to return for.

Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley led the Ravens to a 1-2 record while Jackson was sidelined, bringing them to hold a 4-3 record opposed to the Bills' 5-1. Josh Allen and the Bills always prove to be a difficult opponent for Jackson and the Ravens. Allen and Jackson play a somewhat similar game as Jackson's known as being the rushing quarterback king (he holds the NFL's overall record in rushing yards).

But, Allen currently leads the league in rushing yards from a quarterback (240 yards, eight touchdowns) with Jackson being out. Both quarterbacks, who have also both been MVP, like to show off their running skills. It'll be a fun showdown to watch.
