Portugal beat Denmark (4-2), with goals from João Cancelo, Gonçalo Ramos, Vitinha and João Félix, following Cristiano Ronaldo’s abrupt departure. Germany beat Serbia (2-0), with Tom Bischof and Florian Wirtz on target. Wales came from behind to beat Norway (2-1), while the Netherlands drew 2-2 in Greece.

In 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Guinea beat Kenya (1-0), with Serhou Guirassy scoring. Carlos Queiroz left Ghana after their heavy defeat by Gambia (4-2). In the Women’s Champions League, PSG beat Leuven (5-0).

Manchester City and Real Madrid drew 1-1, as did Inter Milan in Vienna. In the EuroLeague, Paris Basketball beat Zalgiris Kaunas (82-78) for their first European win of the season, while Mike James suffered an injury during Anadolu Efes’ 77-72 defeat by Crvena Zvezda. At the ATP 500 tournament in Tokyo, Carlos Alcaraz beat Alex Michelsen (7-6, 4-6, 6-1), while in Beijing, Alexander Zverev defeated Cameron Norrie (7-6, 6-4).
