NFL insider Mike Florio suggested a quarterback the Ravens might trade for due to Lamar Jackson's injury and surgery.

The Baltimore Ravens may be desperately in need of another quarterback after injuries to starter Lamar Jackson and backup Tyler Huntley in their Week 8 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Jackson had officially returned to play for his team in Sunday's game. Unfortunately, he suffered a thumb injury on his throwing hand on his first offensive play of the game.

While throwing the ball, the two-time NFL Most Valuable Player hit his hand on Bills linebacker Greg Rousseau and then exited the game in pain. He returned to the sideline later with his hand and thumb in a cast. After the loss, head coach Jesse Minter said Jackson would be placed on injured reserve and would require surgery.

Ravens backup Tyler Huntley came in, but it wasn't for long. He suffered a toe injury in the game's second quarter when he was tackled by Bills defensive lineman Ed Oliver. That forced Huntley out, and third-string, undrafted UConn quarterback Joe Fagnano replaced him to finish the game.

Baltimore could now face a difficult situation at quarterback with their "Thursday Night Football" game against the Jacksonville Jaguars approaching.

The Ravens may need to move quickly to find additional help. Ahead of NBC's "Sunday Night Football" game, NFL insider Mike Florio reported on the latest Ravens quarterback news. While he said Jackson is definitely out for at least the next four games, he also said the team is unsure if Huntley would be able to go on Thursday night.

He suggested that Baltimore might look to the Chicago Bears' backup quarterbacks for an option, should they need to add a player at the position. "Here's one thing to keep in mind. The Bears have three quarterbacks.
