The Ole Miss Rebels recorded their biggest win of the 2026 college football season so far on Saturday night, taking down Lane Kiffin and the visiting LSU Tigers with a 32-24 final score at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Just one day after this top-10 victory, the Rebels landed another big win. 2028 four-star safety Braylen Bedford announced his commitment to Ole Miss on Sunday, choosing Pete Golding's program over Tennessee, Kentucky and Vanderbilt. Bedford, a Mississippi native who plays his high school football in Tennessee, will return home for the start of his collegiate career.
"Really Coach Pete Golding, Coach [Wes] Neighbors and they've been recruiting me since the eighth grade," Bedford said, via college football insider Steve Wiltfong of On3 Spiorts. "It's been like a family. Coach [Donte] Moncrief been recruiting me hard too.
"It's a great team and they're going to keep it straight up with me. I feel like they're a family-like team and the players are close and they bond a lot." Bedford made his commitment decision while on a visit to Oxford this past weekend. "It was great, it's a blessing to be able to be in this position right now," he added.
"The way he just became the head coach and he's already winning." Ole Miss will face off against the Florida Gators in their next matchup this coming Saturday.
