One of the most surprising results coming out of Saturday's college football slate was Florida's 52-28 rout of Ole Miss. Both teams came in undefeated and looking like two of the SEC's best, but the Gators wiped the floor with the Rebels, and the game never felt close. It might say more about how good this Florida team is, which suddenly looks like a legitimate national title contender, but it wasn't a good look for Ole Miss regardless.
The Rebels had just pulled off a dramatic upset over Lane Kiffin and LSU, and this win would've made them the team to beat. Now there are serious questions about whether last week's win was just a one-off, and whether this team has what it takes to make the College Football Playoff. One thing that's not being questioned is the talent of Rebels quarterback Trinidad Chambliss.
Even Florida head coach Jon Sumrall made clear after the game that Chambliss, in his eyes, is still the best quarterback in the country. "I don't have a Heisman vote, but if I did, you'd have it," Sumrall told Chambliss after Saturday night's contest. He threw for 3,937 yards and 22 touchdowns with three interceptions, completing 66.1% of his passes, along with 527 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. He earned second-team All-SEC and SEC Newcomer of the Year honors and entered this year as one of the favorites for several national awards. Through the first four games, he's shown why, posting 1,222 passing yards and eight touchdowns with three picks, completing 70.8% of his passes, along with 108 rushing yards and four rushing scores.

No Ole Miss player has ever taken home the Heisman, but Chambliss could be the one to change that.
