The Green Bay Packers have been without superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons since he suffered a season-ending ACL tear in Week 15 of their 2025 campaign. But as the Packers now gear up for their Week 9 matchup against the New England Patriots, it appears Parsons' return is on the horizon. When speaking to reporters on Monday, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said the team is planning for Parsons to return to the practice field sometime this week.
While Parsons is returning to practice, that doesn't mean he'll be immediately ready for full-game action. In fact, recent reports indicate that he's targeting a return for Green Bay's Week 12 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams the day before Thanksgiving. Without Parsons on the field, the Packers are 5-3 to open up their 2026 NFL campaign.
This past Thursday, they took down the Carolina Panthers with a 27-19 final score in primetime. Parsons, who recorded 12.5 sacks in his first 14 games with the Packers last season, will provide the team a major boost on the defensive side of the ball upon his return. Sunday's Week 9 matchup against the Patriots will kick off at 4:25 p.m.
