The Green Bay Packers have made a significant move ahead of their season opener against the Minnesota Vikings. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Packers have signed star tight end Tucker Kraft to a four-year, $75 million contract. Schefter also reported that Kraft's contract extension is worth up to $92 million and includes a $26.5 million signing bonus.
When looking at the season that Kraft just put together for the Packers, it is understandable that they have worked quickly to sign him to this big extension. While the three-year NFL veteran was limited to only eight games last season, he posted six touchdowns, 32 receptions, and 489 receiving yards. With that, the 6-foot-5 tight end certainly impressed and earned this huge extension.
Furthermore, at just 25 years old, Tucker still has the potential to improve his game even further as he continues to gain more NFL experience. Due to this, this contract extension has the potential to be a real home run for Green Bay. In 42 career NFL games over three seasons with the Packers, Kraft has recorded 15 touchdowns, 113 receptions, and 1,551 receiving yards.
