ESPN's Adam Schefter identified a star running back on a struggling team who could get traded before next month's deadline.

An intriguing midseason trade target could emerge for NFL teams seeking a backfield boost. ESPN insider Adam Schefter noted on "Sunday NFL Countdown" that Tony Pollard "fits the profile" of a player who could get moved before the Nov. 10 deadline. The running back is in the final year of his contract with the Tennessee Titans, who are seeking their first win of the season in their Week 4 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

"If there's a team that needs running back help, Pollard might be the first call," Schefter said. The 0-3 Titans enter Sunday with the league's second-worst offense, so they could be sellers unless they turn things around. As a result, Pollard may not finish his third season in Tennessee.

Following four straight 1,000-yard seasons, Pollard has tallied 173 rushing yards in the 2026 campaign. Yet the 29-year-old is still averaging a healthy 4.6 yards per carry on an offense that spent most of September trailing. A few more losses may motivate Tennessee to shop the 2022 Pro Bowler, who could represent an upgrade for plenty of playoff hopefuls.

Pollard has the NFL's sixth-most rushing yards (4,436) since 2022 and has played at least 15 games in each of his seven seasons. Pollard missed Wednesday's practice with a foot injury, but he's active for Sunday's game against the Ravens. The AFC tilt could give the former fourth-round pick a chance to audition his services for teams seeking a running upgrade to fuel a postseason push.
