The Las Vegas Raiders took down the Los Angeles Chargers with a 26-14 final score on Sunday. Las Vegas' defense did an excellent job of limiting Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, who finished the game with 192 passing yards, one passing touchdown and two interceptions. Both of Herbert's interceptions went to rookie cornerback Hezekiah Masses, who joined the team as a fifth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Masses called out Herbert when speaking to reporters after the game. "It’s mine, it ain’t no 50-50 ball." NFL fans and analysts had big expectations for Herbert this season as he plays under offensive coordinator Mike McDaniels' system. But through the first two weeks of the season, his play at the quarterback position has been subpar.
The Chargers are 0-2 to begin the season and have a difficult schedule ahead. They'll face off against Josh Allen and the red-hot Buffalo Bills this coming weekend, and the reigning Super Bowl-champion Seattle Seahawks in Week 4. Sunday's game against the Bills will kick off at 1 p.m.
