After an ugly 27-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1, the Los Angeles Rams have now provided some brutal injury news regarding star Myles Garrett. According to The Ringer's Tom Pelissero, Garrett is undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his knee and is being placed on injured reserve. In addition, Pelissero shared that the Rams are hoping that Garrett will be good to return in four weeks.
With Garrett being an incredibly important part of the Rams' roster, there is no question that him being placed on injured reserve is awful news. This is especially so when noting that LA has started the season on the wrong foot with a loss. With Garrett hitting injured reserve, he will be out for the Rams' next games against the New York Giants, Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles, and Buffalo Bills, at least.
This is certainly tough news for LA, but they will now need to adjust to not having the star in their lineup for the time being. Garrett had a quiet debut for the Rams in Week 1 due to his injury, as he did not record a tackle. This is after he posted 60 combined tackles and set an NFL single-season record with 23 sacks during this past season with the Cleveland Browns.
