Even at 32 years old, Derrick Henry is still one of the best in the game. He's already rushed for 301 yards and an NFL-leading six touchdowns on 66 carries, averaging 4.6 yards per carry and well on his way to another 1,000-yard season, which would be the eighth of his Hall of Fame career. But the Baltimore Ravens' Week 4 matchup represents something different for Henry.
He'll be facing his former team, the Tennessee Titans, and surprisingly, it will be the first time he's gone up against them since joining the Ravens. Speaking with reporters Wednesday, Henry opened up about his former team and revealed that the Titans did little to keep him in Tennessee when he became a free agent in 2024. Those numbers were still good enough to rank among the best running backs in the league, and he earned another Pro Bowl selection.
But they were also his lowest rushing totals over a full season since 2017 and his lowest yards-per-carry average in years. With his efficiency declining and his age climbing, many speculated that the Titans could move on from their franchise player. Even so, the decision was still surprising.
Henry still sits second in franchise history in career rushing yards with 9,502 and is the Titans' all-time leader in rushing touchdowns with 90, ahead of legends such as Earl Campbell (73), Eddie George (64) and Chris Johnson (50).
