New Orleans Saints superstar wide receiver Chris Olave took a hit to his left knee during the closing minutes of Monday night's primetime matchup against the division-rival Atlanta Falcons. Olave limped off the field as the Saints trailed 45-17 with just over one minute remaining in the game. Fortunately for Kellen Moore and the Saints organization, Olave was able to avoid any major injury.
The NFL's second-leading receiver was listed as a non participant for Wednesday's practice with a "rest" designation. However, he's expected to return to practice in full on Thursday, according to Saints insider John DeShazier of the team's official website. Olave has been excellent through the Saints' 1-3 start to the 2026 NFL season.
The 26-year-old pass catcher leads the league with 48 targets, reeling in 35 passes for 491 yards and one touchdown. He currently trails only Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb in receiving yards. Olave notched his third 100+ yard receiving game in Monday's 45-24 loss to the Falcons, catching eight passes for 116 yards.
The Saints will face off against the Minnesota Vikings in a Week 5 matchup this coming Sunday.
