Carnell Tate missed the Tennessee Titans' last few practices after being shaken up on a hard hit earlier in the week. With the regular season set to kick off in just under three weeks, there was at least some concern surrounding the Titans' prized first-round pick. But that worry quickly subsided when the rookie wide receiver returned to practice Friday as the team prepares for its next preseason matchup against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
Tate appeared in the Titans' preseason opener against the San Francisco 49ers last week but failed to record a single catch despite being targeted multiple times in the first half. Speaking with reporters Friday, Titans franchise quarterback Cam Ward explained how, regardless of how many targets he gets, Tate never seems bothered or makes an issue of it — and that's exactly what makes him so special. You're either going to get the ball, or you're not going to get the ball. He never shows that to the team, whether he's frustrated or not. The thing about Carnell, whether he has a drop or I have a bad pass, he never points a finger at nobody.

Head coach Robert Saleh has yet to announce whether Tate will play Sunday, but with the rookie likely to be relied on this season as the focal point of the offense, there's a chance Tennessee plays it safe and keeps him fresh for Week 1.
