John Boyega, who was friends with Damilola, speaks in this moving programme. Plus: David Harewood’s superb new legal drama. Here’s what to watch this evening9pm, BBC Two It’s been 26 years since 10-year-old Damilola Tay

9pm, BBC Two It’s been 26 years since 10-year-old Damilola Taylor was killed by teenagers. For the first time, the last people to see him alive create this essential account: from the actor John Boyega and Boyega’s sister Grace (Damilola’s mates who were at the library with him) to Guillermo Casal (the North Peckham Estate caretaker who found Damilola and cradled him as he died). His brother Tunde and the former Met officer Leroy Logan also revisit events, which eventually led to the conviction of two brothers, and take a wider look at why there were so many similar killings.

The trauma and sadness remain palpable, but there is also a lot of love and even hope to be found in Damilola’s legacy. Hollie Richardson 8pm, BBC OneAccording to NHS data, rates of bowel and breast cancers are rapidly rising among much younger demographics. The reporter Hayley Hassall investigates the root causes, from ultraprocessed food to micro-chemicals, while speaking to patients and looking at the latest scientific research.

She also asks if the government is doing enough to protect vulnerable people. Priya Elan 8.30pm, BBC OneNAD+ drips are the next viral “wellness claim” investigated by Dooley. Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow and the Kardashians are fans – and people who use them claim to be “ageing backwards”.

But do they actually do anything? Dooley crashes a brunch where women are hooked up to the drips while sipping prosecco, before asking the health experts. HR This superb legal drama somehow pulls off being very funny and devastatingly compelling.

David Harewood cuts a suave, wry figure as Pierre, a duty solicitor in London – but does his need to be a hero confuse integrity with vanity? It’s put to the test when a teenager he helps at the police station is later found killed and he swears to solve the mystery around what happened. HR 9pm, Channel 5Palin heads deeper into the Philippines, from Palawan’s natural landscape to Moalboal’s extraordinary sardine shoals.

Yet, as he observes, “there is darkness here”: the nickel mine threatening Indigenous communities; the fact that divorce is illegal. Ali Catterall 9pm, U&WThere’s a suspicious lump on a Maltese in this week’s reality star-hosted profile of the Dogs Trust’s work. It certainly doesn’t look good for the cane corso who continues to be investigated for a neurological condition, but things are on the up for a family of spitzes who are struggling in a new environment.
