The Chicago Bears will be looking to keep their winning streak alive when they face the Green Bay Packers in their Week 5 matchup on Sunday. However, unfortunately for the Bears, they have gotten some concerning updates on two of their key running backs. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, neither D'Andre Swift nor Kyle Monangai practiced for the Bears on Wednesday.
Schefter also reported that Swift is dealing with hip and knee injuries, while Monangai has thumb and toe injuries. With the Packers being one of the Bears' division rivals, it is certainly a tough blow that both Swift and Monangai are dealing with injuries. If they both end up not being available for the matchup, the Bears' offense would be put in a tough position.
Swift has appeared in four games this season with the Bears, where he has posted three touchdowns, 69 rushes, and 311 rushing yards. This is after the former Pro Bowler had nine touchdowns, 223 rushes, and 1,087 rushing yards in 16 games last season for the Bears. As for Monangai, he has three touchdowns, 60 rushes, and 324 rushing yards in three games this season for the Bears.
This is after he had five touchdowns, 169 rushes, and 783 rushing yards in 17 games as a rookie last season for Chicago.
