The Dallas Cowboys lost in heartbreaking fashion in their Week 3 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, allowing a game-winning field goal as time expired. On Tuesday, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer acknowledged his mistakes in the loss. The Cowboys certainly had numerous chances to come away with a win in the game.
Not only did the Cowboys allow a 27-yard completion after the Ravens received the ball with just seven seconds left in the fourth quarter. But the Cowboys offense also had three chances from the Ravens' two-yard line to come away with a touchdowns to take the lead with 28 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, instead being forced to kick a game-tying field goal. Speaking with reporters on Tuesday about the Week 3 loss, Schottenheimer made it incredibly clear that he believes he could have managed the final 28 seconds much better.

Like I said after the game, I think I overcoached Dak (Prescott) on third down. Kind of affected his decision making a little bit. And I let that bleed over into my decision about kicking the ball.
My dad had a rule, one play at a time. Because it happened to him. You make a decision about a play that didn't go good and he was pissed off about it.
It affected another decision. I think that is kinda what happened to me. Schottenheimer went on to fully acknowledge that he is better than he showed on Sunday, and that the Cowboys need for him to be better than he was.
