Eli Manning Reveals Which NFL Team He Wants to Draft Arch Manning

Eli Manning shares why he wants his nephew, Texas quarterback Arch Manning, to be drafted by the New York Jets.

Former NFL quarterback Eli Manning will forever be loved by New York sports fans following his time spent with the New York Giants where he brought two Super Bowl championships to the organization. And Manning is hoping that the family name having success in New York doesn't end with him. Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning is of course expected to be one of the most highly coveted quarterback prospects when he does ultimately declare for the NFL Draft, whether that be for the 2027 NFL Draft or the 2028 NFL Draft should he return for his senior season of college football.

The New York Giants likely won't be a team in the market for a starting quarterback in either draft class considering the flashes of great play we have seen from Jaxson Dart early on in his career. However, Eli Manning believes that his nephew could make an impact on the team that the Giants share MetLife Stadium with, the New York Jets, explaining that his preference is for Arch to be drafted by the Jets when he does declare for the NFL Draft. "Just because I live right there. I can go to dinner with him during the week a little bit. I think it would be great for him to have some family nearby.

So I wouldn't mind him going to New York. I think he can help them." The narrative of Arch playing in the same home stadium as Eli Manning did writes itself.

But the Jets also sure seem to be in the market for a quarterback of the future. And given the young offensive talent the team recently added in the 2026 NFL Draft like rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq and rookie wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr., the organization sure seems to be setting up to be a perfect situation for a young quarterback to thrive in. That being said, it will be interesting to see how Arch Manning's junior season at Texas plays out, as some have raised notable questions about whether he is truly worthy of being a high-end draft pick given the lack of individual production thus far this season.
