Veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. spent a year away from the NFL field in 2025. But earlier this offseason, the 2014 Offensive Rookie of the Year signed a one-year, veteran-minimum deal to rejoin the team that drafted him with their No. 12 overall pick. As Beckham gears up for his 2026 season with the New York Giants, encouraging reports are beginning to emerge.
"Odell Beckham Jr had another really active day in practice. Caught a long TD in competitive period and another from Jaxson Dart in a card period," team reporter Connor Hughes said on Wednesday. "Another strong practice from Odell Beckham Jr.
Ended it with a deep slant from Jameis Winston. Tough contested catch for a TD," Jordan Raanan of ESPN added. After practice on Wednesday, head coach John Harbaugh said this has been Beckham's best week of training camp so far.
"His best week of camp has come this week," Harbaugh said. "He's looked good and made numerous plays, just like you saw today." Beckham will likely play an even bigger role than expected in the Giants' offense following the season-ending ACL tear suffered by Calvin Austin III in practice earlier this week. The 33-year-old WR is a veteran depth piece behind Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton and Darnell Mooney.
