Jaxson Dart took over as the New York Giants' starting quarterback in Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season — the same week wide receiver Malik Nabers suffered a season-ending ACL injury. While Dart and Nabers haven't had much in-game overlap, the second-year quarterback recognizes how important Nabers is as an offensive weapon. "You just love having a guy out there that changes the whole dynamic of an offense," Dart told reporters after Thursday's joint practice with the Miami Dolphins.

Nabers did not participate in Thursday's joint practice session as part of the team's plan for his recovery. The third-year wideout returned to practice for his first full-speed drills on Monday. Nabers burst onto the NFL scene as the Giants' No. 6 overall pick in 2024, reeling in 109 catches for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns.
Before tearing his ACL in Week 4, he caught 18 passes for 271 yards and two scores. The Giants will open up their regular-season schedule with a Week 1 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 13.
