A'ja Wilson is continuing her trend as the WNBA's greatest player, as she's well on her way to winning the WNBA Most Valuable Player Award, and the latest honor she achieved certainly shows it. On Tuesday, the WNBA officially revealed Wilson as the WNBA Western Conference Player of the Week. The Aces All-Star averaged 24.7 points, eight rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.7 blocks, and 1.3 steals per game, also hitting 50% of her field goals.
Among last week's performances, Wilson had a 27-point, 14-rebound double-double and four blocks in a loss to the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday. She scored 27 points, dished out seven assists, and grabbed seven rebounds, along with two steals and a block in her team's 10-point win over Toronto on Sunday. "A'notha one for the M'VP," the Aces shared on X with a saluting emoji in recognition of her achievement.

Wilson has now earned Player of the Week four times this season, with the WNBA naming her Western Conference POTW once in May, once in June, and now twice this month. This season, Wilson is averaging 26 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, two blocks, and 1.4 steals per game with a 52.1% field goal percentage.
And that seemingly keeps her on track to claim a fifth Most Valuable Player Award in what has been an amazing career for the former South Carolina standout and WNBA No. 1 pick. The main thing for Wilson and the Aces is going to be how they perform in the upcoming postseason. Several teams have looked much improved this season and are capable of toppling Las Vegas, who are the reigning WNBA champion.
Among those teams are Olivia Miles and the Minnesota Lynx, Reese and the Atlanta Dream, and Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. Wilson and the Aces are currently 26-13, which is third overall in the WNBA standings. They'll host Marina Mabrey and the Toronto Tempo on Friday night.
