Outside of the Miami Dolphins, the Las Vegas Raiders might just have the worst wide receiver room in the NFL. Vegas’ leading receiver last year, Tre Tucker, barely edged tight end Brock Bowers in receiving yards (696 to 680) despite playing in five more games. Behind Tucker, the Raiders have a rag-tag group of pass-catchers including Jalen Nailor, Jack Bech, rookie Malik Benson, Dareke Young, and Dont’e Thornton Jr., so needless to say upgrading the WR position next offseason should be the team’s top priority, especially with 2026 No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza expected to transition to the starting role next year.
The Bleacher Report scouting department agrees, which is why they are projecting Vegas to grab Texas playmaker Cam Coleman, who’s dazzled this offseason with several one-handed, highlight-reel catches during fall camp, with the No. 6 overall pick in next year’s draft. He can create a dynamic duo with star tight end Brock Bowers, allowing Mendoza to develop into the highly precise passer the Raiders need.” Coleman, a five-star wide receiver transfer from Auburn and the No. 2 overall player in the transfer portal this year according to On3, has been all over social media in recent weeks for his acrobatics during Longhorns practices. The junior wideout wasn’t used to his potential at Auburn, though he still put up solid numbers — he totaled 93 receptions, 1,306 yards, and 13 touchdowns in two years with the Tigers — while getting subpar quarterback play.
At Texas, Coleman will form one of the best 1-2 WR punches in the country opposite Ryan Wingo. With Arch Manning throwing to him, many expect a monster year out of Coleman, which could skyrocket his draft stock and easily make him a top-10 pick.
