New England Patriots star A.J. Brown was seen walking with cleats on and not limping as he continues to work on his recovery.

Brown has been out since suffering a high ankle sprain in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks. Brown has been on injured reserve since, but now a positive update has been provided on the eight-year NFL veteran. According to MassLive Sports' Karen Guregian, Brown was walking in the Patriots' locker room with cleats and was not limping.

It is certainly encouraging to hear that Brown appears to be walking comfortably and is already able to wear cleats. Although he is not eligible to return to action for the Patriots until Week 6 due to his injured reserve placement, it appears that he is making progress with his injury. Given how poorly the start of the Patriots' season has been going, they are undoubtedly hoping that Brown is good to go for Week 6.

He is expected to be a massive part of New England's roster this season and could be the star player that helps them get their season back on track. In one game this season for the Patriots, Brown recorded three receptions and 26 receiving yards. This is after he had seven touchdowns, 78 receptions, and 1,003 receiving yards in 15 games last season for the Philadelphia Eagles.
