The Giants are releasing Beckham, according to a report from NFL insiders Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport. This move comes as the Giants needed to make a decision on punt returner Braxton Berrios this week. Berrios had reached his practice squad elevation limit, meaning the team needed to make room for him on the 53-man roster.
The Giants opened up their 2026 season with a 28-20 win over the division-rival Dallas Cowboys. But in their Week 2 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, starting quarterback Jaxson Dart suffered a knee injury that will likely keep him off the field for at least the remainder of the regular season. New York improved to 2-1 with a win over the Tennessee Titans this past weekend.
The Giants will face off against the Arizona Cardinals in a Week 4 matchup this coming Sunday.
