The New York Jets are set to face the Las Vegas Raiders for their Week 8 matchup on Sunday afternoon. This is a very important game for the Jets to win. If the Jets lose, they will have a 2-6 record and hurt their chances of turning things around immensely.
Unfortunately for the Jets, they have now gotten some bad news ahead of their game against the Raiders involving star running back Breece Hall. According to ESPN's Ian Rapoport, Hall has officially been ruled out for the Jets' matchup against the Raiders. There was hope that Hall would be good to go for Week 8, but with this update, that can officially be forgotten.
Now, the 25-year-old is set to miss his fifth straight game due to his quad injury. The Jets certainly could have used Hall against the Raiders, as he is a major part of their offense. However, they will once again not have him in their lineup and need to adjust.
In three games this season with the Jets, Hall has recorded one touchdown, 51 rushes, and 163 rushing yards. This is after he posted four touchdowns, 243 rushes, and 1,065 rushing yards in 16 games for New York last season.
